Ishqiya... The Romantic. Or the eternal Romantic. Do not know I believe Movie was good in comparison to what is dished out now days. The song had been creating that anticipation for long. The teaser also gave a good feeling and then, Vishal B as Producer and Music director with Naseer and Arshad added to it. (Arshad I believe is one actor who is amazing and actually he is quiet an unsung one and has not got his due; due to him)...
However, the movie left me wanting for more. The first half was again which built that anticipation... Chaubey had in first half built that amazing warm feeling and I was expecting to be jolted ... It was too good to last....
But then in the next half he just jumped into giving that jolt....The unfolding of plot was not so good... we knew its would happen this way only and that element of surprise was missing..... It felt disjointed.. A bit jerky as if Mr. Chaubey was in hurry to complete the movie.... It was not taut as a thriller should have been...
However as a debut its really good... Vishal as usual in his role of music director was amazing.... I do not have to say about the songs but the background score was amazing too...
I left with a feeling that it had to be more..The movie deserved more... wanted something more... Left a feeling of being incomplete... Something Missing....

even i was similarly dissappointed when i left the hall. i was blank and didnt carry anything. felt i read a fiction novel where i knew something was to happen and then suddenly the climax came and went and it got over...book over...back to shelf.
probably i feel that it was the resultant reaction of having too much anticipation. the songs are great..and i liked the picturization of Dil to Bachcha hai..
naseer was pure romantic as he said in an interview that for the first time he played a man in love...
arshad was too good
vidya's silence as someone pointed out was what spoke...
rest..it was a good watch overall.
no hangover of it.
@ Ajaa Thanks for Reply..
@ Kay Thank you. Movie did not drive me to write about it. It was disappointment felt.. especially when it came from Vishal B stable..
also when it had al the ingredients to be so much much better.. Music, Lyrics, Actors.. Only thing lacking was that tight script...
Maybe in order to make it engaging it became an assortment of montages and hillarious incidents... Script is the hallmark of Vshal and thus the disappointment... I can give it to Kaizad Gustaad or David Dhavan but not from Likes of Anurag Kashyap and Vishal B
Film was okay not in terms of anticipation. Torantino type of movie but not as engrossing as was supposed...
btw why deleted comments ???
I think even Naseer has a right to work in a masala climax non serious movie - aakhir dil to bachha hai ji.
